Giant bouquets of flower balloons

A very unique idea from Abington Junior High School in Abington, PA:

"Here are two pictures of what we did with some of our uplights. We decided that the basketball hoops/backboards would make a great substructure for giant "bouquets" of flower balloons. We attached strips of fire-retardant gossamer to small hula hoops and brought the other end up of the strips through the basket, draping them outside. Then we put lightweight laundry baskets inside the basketball hoops and fulled them with balloon flowers. We added a few strands of LED mini-lights to make the flowers glow and put the uplights inside the hula hoops on the floor. They were a huge hit and looked even better in person than they do in the photos!"
